I’ve finally done it. Welcome to the little nook of the internet I’ve carved out for myself.

Never did I imagine, as a boy surfing the web of the early 2000’s, that I would eventually be able to build my own website. It’s not perfect – I’m no web designer – but here it is in all its mustard yellow and terracotta splendour. Maybe I’ll add some dancing hamsters and comic sans. I’ll resist the urge for now.

What can you expect from this blog? I’m not completely sure, it’s my first one of those too. I’m a writer. I want to write for TV and Film. I’ve practised with a fair few short stories and scripts for short films. I’m currently studying Film Production at the University of Salford where I’m getting the chance to see some of my writing be produced. Exciting. You’ll see some of those pop up on my projects page. The good ones, anyway.

If I were to guess, I’ll probably post updates here of my journey to becoming a screenwriter. Could be quite the rollercoaster. Or a hurtle down a sharp hill. We’ll see. I might find a particularly relevant piece of screen industry news and have some hot, cold, or luke warm opinion on it that I feel like sharing. I’m a big fan of r/writingprompts and may find some inspiration for a short script or scene I could compose (If I can find a way to format scripts properly on this website.) There’s also a podcast that’s in the ‘shall we… maybe…’ stage with a couple of friends.
